Fuel Elbow 5/16 part Number 14-26 by Redline Performance suits 2bbl Holley and Stromberg carburettors. The 14-26 fuel elbow is made of alloy which looks good and forms a positive seal against the carburettor seat because of its malleability.
These Australian made fuel elbows are made with a double flare. A double flare provides extra strength at the flare which is important to the longevity of the fitting. A double flare means that the metal tube is bent over “doubled” before being flared. Flaring the tube thins the metal so the double flare provides extra thickness to protect against cracking and helps to provide a better seal against the carburettor seat.
Sub Standard fuel Lines are usually single flared which means that the metal at the seal is very thin which makes it prone to crack where they seal against the carburettor seat.
